About Us

It’s been our privilege to build heavy-duty feeders for over 35 years. We don’t build them light—because livestock isn’t gentle.

“At J&L Haysavers, our foundation is built on more than just steel; it is rooted and guided by our faith in God.”

Howdy, thanks for stopping by! Around here the coffee is always hot and the gate is always open…

This way of life runs deep in our family; by the time I was 10, I was driving Grandpa’s team of workhorses in the field while he loaded the wagon with hay. My dad taught me to work hard, be honest, and a handshake meant what you said. We still live by Grandpa’s ways today.

Coming from over seven generations of farming, our heritage defines every design, weld, and angle on our hay feeders. We didn’t just enter the livestock industry; we were born into it, learning firsthand what works to save hay with the toughest herds. We know that hay feeders have to be rugged enough to last and actually save hay and money.

All of our Haysavers are hand-built in Spring Run, Pennsylvania. Jake, the shop foreman, oversees manufacturing operations, along with his sons. He also works the land, and the livestock as his ancestors did 100 years ago. He brings incredible knowledge you can’t get from a textbook, passed down through many generations.

While our feeders are crafted in Pennsylvania
the Arizona mountains are where we call home and run our own livestock

Several years ago, we had to move west for a drier climate. We now manage our business as a family, from our ranch in Arizona. You may have the opportunity to speak with our son, Micah, who handles some of our customer relations. Most days, we’re working on the ranch, with the livestock or on the business, and our youngsters are right there beside us – learning the ropes and continuing the legacy.

“At the heart of everything we do, we want to honor God, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ”
